"You're Also a Hero"
Characters: Chiaki, Anzu, Hiiro
Characters: Chiaki, Anzu, Hiiro
Season: Autumn

Chiaki: Here I am! Sorry to keep you waiting, Anzu! Morisawa Chiaki has made his brilliant arrival…☆
"Sorry to make you come all this way"...? Don't worry about it! We're friends, aren't we?
More importantly, let's get into the main topic. We're here to discuss my "personalized outfit", right?
Fuhahaha! It's finally my turn, huh. I've been waiting for you to reach out to me since forever!
"I'm sure you want a hero-like outfit"? Fufufu, I'm guessing you want to know what kind of design I'm wishing for.
Here it is! The ultimate "personalized outfit" that I thought up…☆
…Hm? What's with that troubled face?
I tried drawing it out to make it easier to visualize, but it seems that made it harder to visual instead.
On the head here is a helmet, the type that covers the whole face. I tried making the shield part bigger to make it stand out more.
Hanging from the neck is a 2 meter long scarf. I'm getting excited just imagining it flowing in the wind…♪︎
…Huh, "these details seem hard to implement"? What on earth makes you say that, Anzu?!
"Your face won't be visible because of the helmet, and the scarf would get tangled when you dance"... Well, if you put it that way…
Then what about these gears on the arms? They can glow in the colors of the rainbow in time with the music ☆
"It seems too expensive to make"? H~mm…
(That sure puts me in a pickle. I didn't think I'd be flat out rejected, so I'm not sure what to do now.)
(But I'm an idol. And her opinions as a producer are grounded in logic.)
(I should probably just yield to her right about now.)
…Everything you've said is right on the money. I was completely caught up in implementing all of my ideals, and neglected to consider anything else.
Alright, let's throw all of these ideas out!
Fuhaha, there's no need to be considerate. A setback as small as this isn't enough to make me lose heart. Just you wait, I'll come up with even better ideas…☆
Hm? It seems like someone's arrived…
Oh, Hero-kun! Good day to you!

Hiiro: Good day to the both of you. I'm glad to see you, Anzu-san.
I noticed one of my clothes started to fray, so I've been looking for someone to fix it.
"I'll fix it right away"? Alright, then I'll just wait right here.
Oh, so the two of you were in the middle of planning an outfit, I see. Is this design for RYUSEITAI?
Chiaki: Not quite, this is my "personalized outfit".
Hiiro: Wow, it's really unique! It truly feels like a special set of clothes. I look forward to seeing it in action.
Chiaki: Thank you. But all these ideas have been scrapped. I was aiming for an outfit fit for a hero, but these ideas seem to suit an idol…
Thinking up designs really is difficult. I've really ought to bow my head down to Anzu, who's made countless outfits thus far.
Hiiro: A hero, hmm… You seem to be really hung up on that part, Chiaki-senpai.
Just what are heroes? Aira tried explaining it to me once, but he didn't give me a clear answer.
Chiaki: "Just what are heroes?", huh. That sounds like it could be the subtitle for a movie.
I'll tell you! Heroes are "cool beings who protect the weak"...☆
Hiiro: Hmm… but martial artists also protect the weak. Does that mean martial artists are heroes?
Chiaki: Well, I suppose you could say that, but they're a little different from the heroes I'm talking about.
Hm, I'm not really sure how to explain it. There's a certain je ne sais quoi to it that you can only understand by feeling it, after all.
Say, Hero-kun, would you like to come to an amusement park with me? I'm sure seeing it for yourself will make it more clear than anything I say.
Hiiro: So heroes' homes are called amusement parks? Alright, I'll gladly take you up on your offer.
I'll finally learn what a hero is. What a joyous occasion…♪︎
───
(A few days later)

Hiiro: So this is an amusement park… There are all sorts of things that I've never seen before, how interesting!
Chiaki: Ah, right, this is your first time coming to an amusement park.
Hiiro: I had Aira teach me some things in advance. It seems there's all sorts of attractions, but I'm really curious about the one where you ride a horse.
It's been a while since I've ridden one. I was of the impression that city folk don't ride horses, but I guess that's not true!
Chiaki: Does riding a merry-go-round count as riding a horse? Hmm…
Why are you pulling on my sleeve, Anzu? "We should start heading towards the stage"?
You're right. The hero show's about to start.
Come with me, Hero-kun.
Hiiro: Alright, I'm following you.
Chiaki: Thanks for coming with us, Anzu. …"Are you okay with me accompanying you?"?
Fuhaha, of course we are! Idols, heroes, and producers all need to take breaks sometimes.
I'd like it if you could just relax for today. You may have an especially important job, but even you have the right to take a break once in a while…♪︎
───
(Climax of the Hero Show)
Hiiro: —Ah! Chiaki-senpai, the hero's transformation is being undone!
The villain is getting even stronger… At this rate, the hero is going to end up losing!
Chiaki: Don't look so panicked. What's important is that your heart stays strong and doesn't stop believing.
Heroes grow stronger when there are people believing in them! Hang in there! You can't lose yet, hero!
You guys join in too! Let's cheer with the children!
Hiiro: Alright. Hang in there, hero! Get back up!
Chiaki: Fuhahaha☆ That's the spirit! Losing doesn't suit a hero!
(Ooh, his hero suit's become more extravagant than before! I'm surprised it evolved again.)

(No matter what predicament a hero faces, he can stand back even stronger than before for the sake of his beliefs...)
(Ah, that's right. That's why I—)

They never lose heart no matter what troubles they face, and grow stronger and stronger for the sake of others… I can see how they differ from martial artists.
Chiaki: Fuhaha! I'm glad Hero-kun's discovered the charm of heroes!
But that back there was only the tip of the iceberg. There are a lot of profound parts to heroes, so the more you'll learn the more you'll grow to like them.
Maybe I should hold a Tokusatsu appreciation party one day! And I can show you all of my Tokusatsu DVDs…☆
Hiiro: Alright! I'll be looking forward to it.
So what do we do now that the hero show has ended?
Chiaki: Since we've come all this way to an amusement park, let's check out the attractions!
Is there anything you're interested in? How about the merry-go-round?
Hiiro: I do want to try that, but I'm curious about the screaming we've been hearing for a while. I wonder what that spiral-shaped thing is…
Chiaki: That's a roller coaster. It's a machine where you get to enjoy screaming your head off in fear while racing along a rail at high speeds.
Hiiro: In fear? Why on earth would anyone purposely put themselves through that?
I want to find that out for myself. Anzu-san, Chiaki-senpai, let's go ride that "roller coaster" thing!
(After some time)
Chiaki: (To think he'd make us ride the teacups right after going on the roller coaster…)
(Both Anzu and Hero-kun seem to be just fine, so I'm just going to have to fake it until I make it. Hang in there, my semicircular canals…!)
Hiiro: Fufu, both of the rides were so much fun! Aira was right in calling this place the "land of dreams."
Chiaki-senpai, I want to try out that over there next.
Chiaki: Ah, okay. I'm fine with that—
(Huh, a haunted house…?!)
Hiiro: So ghosts live here too, I see. I can't wait to see what kinds of ghosts are here ♪︎
Chiaki: ……
Hiiro: What's wrong, Chiaki-senpai?
Chiaki: Ah, it's nothing… Haha, sorry. I'm just a little bit tired.
I'll stay here and rest on this bench, so can the two of you go to the haunted house by yourselves?
Hiiro: If you're taking a break, then I shall accompany you. I want us to experience the attractions all together, after all.
Chiaki: Those feelings are enough for me. We can try out all the other attractions together, okay?
Please go together with Anzu.
Hiiro: Hmm… I understand. Let's go, Anzu-san.
Chiaki: … They're gone. Phew…
(Even if I really am in poor condition, it was still pathetic to run away like that…)
(...Huh?)
Anzu… Why'd you come back… Where's Hero-kun?
You had him go to the haunted house by himself? …So you didn't want to leave me behind in this condition and came back, huh.
Oh, you bought some water too. Thanks.
…Haha, how pathetic of me. Sorry that you have to take care of me even during a time like this.
I wanted you to forget about work for a while and relax, and yet because of me…
…"This has nothing to do with work"? "I came back because I was worried about you"...
"If there's a person in trouble, then someone has to help them. Even if it's everyone's trusty hero," huh…
You're right. If I was in your position, I'd probably do the same thing.
…You really are a hero, Anzu. You're always helping those in need.
(Later)
Hiiro: …Hah, I suppose we need to start heading back now. You can't remain in dreams forever.
How lonesome it is to have to leave my new ghost friends from the haunted house behind…
Chiaki: Your new ghost friends…?! I'm not sure if I want to know about that or not…
Today may have ended already, but you'll still be able to see countless dreams from now on. You should come back with your friends sometime!
Hiiro: Yes, I'll do just that! … Ah, they're selling souvenirs.
Darn, I completely forgot that I promised Aira that I'd buy him some goods. I'll go in and buy some now!
Chiaki: Alright. The two of us will wait here, so go on ahead.
… Hey, Anzu. I know I told you to forget about work matters, but could you listen to me for a little bit?
When we were watching the hero show, I suddenly remembered about my "personalized outfit".
Hero suits are an undeniable part of heroes, but they're simply outfits, not the actual hero.
What's important is your conviction; that's what gives birth to a hero.
And when your body harbors that conviction, that is when you become an actual hero.
While my "personalized outfit" is being made for my sake, it is also being made for the purpose of delighting my fans.
For the sake of those who support me, I want to design an outfit that shows off my appeal as both a hero and an idol. What's why—
Anzu. I was wondering if you could help me come up with some new design ideas.
With my knowledge of heroes and your experience with watching over idols, we should be able to create the most wonderful outfit.
…Thank you. I knew you'd say yes.
