TN: The second verse includes many references to the characters' names.

 

1. Kafka's name is written as 可不可, with 可能 meaning possible 不可能 meaning impossible. ↑

2. 掴みな (grab it) is pronounced as "tsukami na", with Kamina being Yukikaze's last name. The original lyrics included the phrase 氷上の頂上 (summit atop the ice), but since that sounded a little bit awkward, I changed it to "Icicle Palace", which is the title of and one of the topics covered in Yukikaze's novel. ↑

3. The original phrase used here is 天に誓って, or "swear to the heavens". 天 is pronounced as "ten". ↑

4. The word for thanks is 礼, which is the first character of Liguang's name. The word for shine used in the lyrics is 光差す, with 光 being the second character of his name. Liguang's last name, Lu, is pronounced the same way as the start of the word rule ("ruu"). ↑

5. The lyrics include the words 鍛錬 (tempering), 修練 (training), and 試練 (ordeals), with the latter two including the kanji 練, which is the "ren" in Renga. 試練 is followed with the particle が, which altogether is pronounced as "shiren ga". Renga can also mean brick, which is why I opted to include the phrase "brick by brick". ↑
